Young, William -1973 Mr. William Thomas Young, a farmer living on Route 1, Annapolis, died on April 13 at Madison Memorial Hospital. He was 67 years, one month and one day old at the time of his death. Mr. Young was born on March 12, 1906 at Jewett, the son of the late Noah Young and Lithia Williams Young. He married the former Goldie Mills, who survives, on Sept. 19, 1934 at Saco in the home of Jimmy White. She lives at Jewett. Mr. Young was a member of the New Home General Baptist Church of Saco. Chapel services were held at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 15 at the Wilson Funeral Home, with burial in Marcus Memorial Park. The officiating minister was Rev. Willis Guess of Coldwater. Pallbearers were Bobby Francis, David Kemp, Danny Wray, Harvey Firebaugh and Danny Stafford. Surviving children include: Wanda Carey, Saco; Marie Hale, Florissant; William Jr., Cahokia, Ill; Annetta Williams, Fredericktown; Melvin Young, St. Louis; Ervin Young, Winfield, Mo; Sue Radford, Florissant. Brothers and sisters surviving include: Carrie Brown, Whitewater, Mo.; Ova Brown, Andrew Young, Caroline Firebaugh and Ruth Wray, all of Fredericktown; Ruby Minor, DesArc; and a half-sister, Mrs. Lottie King. Other surviving relatives include 28 grandchildren and one great grandchild, in addition to many nieces, nephews and other relatives. The Wilson Funeral Home of Fredericktown was in charge of arrangements.
