Umfleet, Raymond L. - 1972
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb 5 at 2 p.m. at the Najim Funeral 
Chapel for Mr. Raymond L. Umfleet, 78, who died Feb 2 at the Community 
Hospital at Farmington of a heart ailment.

Interment was in the Libertyville Cemetery under the direction of Najim Funeral 
Home.  Rev. Dale Ferguson was the minister and the pallbearers were Ralph 
Umfleet, Harold Umfleet, Robert Wade, Eugene Wade, Gene Miller and Alvin 
Miller.

Mr. Umfleet is survived by a daughter, Mrs. R. J. (Marie) Behen, son-in-law 
and granddaughter, Sue Behen; a sister Mrs. Eli (Ola) White, Mine LaMotte 
and a brother, William Edmon Umfleet, Farmington;  nieces and nephews.

The deceased was born Oct., 1, 1893 in St. Francois County, a son of James 
Emit Umfleet and Mary Alice Layne Umfleet, both deceased.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Hallie  Belle Baldwin Umfleet, who he 
married on Dec 22, 1917 and three brothers, John C., Ulis F. and Roy E. Umfleet.

A retired farmer, Mr. Umfleet was affiliated with the Libertyville Christian 
Church.  He lived with his daughter at Fredericktown, Highway 72 West.
