Vernon L. Thornburgh Vernon L. Thornburgh, 80, of Fredericktown died October 30, 2003 at his son's home in St.Clair, Missouri. He was born March 26, 1923 in Patterson, Missouri, a son of William A. and Maude (Manning) Thornburgh. In 1947, he was married to Virginia M. Kincaid in St. Louis, who preceded him in death in 1989. Surviving Mr. Thornburgh are two sons, Doug Thornburgh of St. Clair and Mark Thornburgh; three daughters, Patty Kissel of Wentzville, Wannetta Brown of Florissant, and Christine Redemeir of Spring Hill, Florida; and two sisters, Elsie Mollison of Oklahoma and Margaret Pruitt of St. James. Mr. Thornburgh had nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Thornburgh was a WWII Army Veteran. He had been employed by Ahagger Hinge Company in St. Louis for many years. Services were held November 2, 2003 at Wilson Funeral Home with Brother Carl Cureton officiating. Interment was at Marcus Memorial Park Cemetery in Fredericktown.
