Schneider, Grace Verna Ellen – 1970
Mrs. Grace Verna Ellen Schnieder of 605 North Mine La Motte died on J
uly 10 at Madison Memorial Hospital.  She was born July 6, 1899 at 
Marquand, the daughter of the late John and Emma Mills.

She married Russell Elmer Schnieder, who survives, on Oct. 5, 1916 at 
Marble Hill.  

Other surviving relatives included two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Polete, Houston, 
Mo. and Freda Schnieder of the home; a brother, Jesse Mills; four sisters, 
Rose Sharp, Elsie Rollins, Dorothy Proffer all of Fredericktown and Bessie 
Baxter, Herculaneum; six grand children and six great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Glen; five brothers, 
John, Tom, Arch, Jim and Lester Mills; a sister, Ruth Smith and a great grandchild.

She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Fredericktown.  
Funeral services were held in the church at 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev, Gene 
Proffer and the Rev. Melvin Howell officiating.

Pallbearers were Paul Polete, Jack Polete, Wayne Schnieder, Paul Graham, 
Clifford Skaggs and Forrest Smith.

The Wilson Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
