Murray, Ella W. – 1970
Ella W. Murray died July 30 at the St. Francis Hospital in 
Washington, Mo.  She was 64.

Mrs. Murray was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman 
Roethemeyer on Dec 31, 1910 at Owensville, Mo.  She 
attended the college at Weskeyan Methodist College in 
Warrenton and Southwest Teachers College in Springfield.

In 1940 she married George Strehlman who preceded 
her in death in 1955.  She married Walter Murray Sr. in 
October 1959 and they made their home in Union, Mo.

Those who survive her are her husband, Walter Murray Sr., 
Union; stepchildren, Walter Murray Jr., Sally Bockloge, 
Elvira Barnhart, Fredericktown and Dorothy Kessler; three 
sisters, Lydia Roethemeyer, Dora Bock and Esther Kempen; 
two brothers, Elmer Roethemeyer and Herman Roethemeyer.

Funeral services were Friday, Aug 2, at the First Presbyterian 
Church in Union.  Burial followed in the Union Cemetery.
