Monroe, Pearl Emma - 1970 Mrs. Floyd S. Monroe of Route 1, Fredericktown, died Tuesday, Feb 3 at the Jewish Hospital in St. Louis after a prolonged illness. She was 65 years old. Funeral services were held Thursday were held Thursday, Feb 5 at the Mountain View Church with Rev. Gene Proffer handling religious rites. Interment was in Marcus Memorial Park. Pallbearers were: Woodrow Mouser, Clyde Starkey, Joe McDaniel, Bud Moyers, Oliver Kemp and M. A. Moore. The Najim Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pearl Emma Monroe was born Feb 24, 1904, the daughter of Henry and May Tinnin, both deceased. In addition to her husband, she is survived by the following children: Terry Monroe and JoAnn Jones, Swatz Creek, Mich.; Donald Monroe, Freeland, Mich.; Ray Monroe, Costa Mesa, Calif.; Jim Monroe, St. Louis and Carl Monroe, Owasso, Mich. Also left are 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is survived by five brothers, Forrest, Harris, Clarence, Wendell and Claude Tinnin, all of Fredericktown.
