Alberta Leona Lee

Alberta Leona Lee, 81, of Park Hills died November 29, 2003, at 
Country Meadows Nursing Home in Park Hills, Missouri.

She was born December 15, 1921, at River Mines to the late Monroe and 
Clara (Hawthorne) McDowell. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lee was 
preceded in death by her husband, Stephen H. Lee; one sister Glenda 
McDowell and one Great-granddaughter Abbye Gayle Namlett.

Mrs. Lee is survived by two sons, Sam Lee and Sidney Lee; two daughters, 
Sandy Hovis and Ernestine Elders all of Park Hills; four sisters, Ethel Burlbaugh 
and Grace Pulliam both of Fredericktown, Blanche Wilson of Annapolis 
and Violet Masek of St. Louis; three brothers, Walter McDowell of Festus, 
Eugene McDowell of Fredericktown, and Harold McDowell of Hazelhurst, Georgia.

She had nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several 
nieces and nephews.

Services were held December 1, 2003 at Caldwell Memorial Chapel
with Reverend Charles Brown officiating. Burial was at Central Community 
Cemetery near Cherokee Pass.
