Hale, Otto Otto Thomas Hale of Fredericktown died Wednesday, March 9 at Madison Memorial Hospital. Mr. Hale a truck driver for Gifford Lumber Co., was 77. Chapel services were held Saturday, March 12 at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Bess officiating. Burial was in Marcus Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers were Bobby Corrado, Mike Kemp, John Freeland, LeRoy Berry, Freddie Hale Jr. and Mike Corrado. Mr. Hale was born August 22, 1905 in Madison County to the late Thomas and Ollie (Kervot) Hale. He married the former Iva Chenoworth August 6, 1932 in Fredericktown. She survives. Other Survivors include five sons, Paul Hale, Freddie Hale, Wayne Hale and Tex Hale, all of Fredericktown and Thomas Hale of Stillwater, Okla.; five daughters, Judy J. Stephens, Wilma Freeland, Laura Lindsey and Lolly Browning, all of Fredericktown and Hilda Corrado of Litchfield, Ill.; two brothers, Frank Hale of Lodi and Milford Hale of Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Nellie LaPlant of Piedmont and Ruth Hollister of Fresno, Calif.; 26 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceding Mr. Hale in death were his parents; three children, Debbie Hale, Dolly Hale and Otto Hale; two brothers, Fred Hale and Willard Hale and a sister, Maude Proffer. Mr. Hale was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.
