Gregory, Oliver Lee – 1970 Lee Gregory, 71, retired Fredericktown businessman, died Thursday, April 16 at Madison Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 18 at the Wilson Funeral Chapel. Interment was in Marcus Memorial Park. Pallbearers were nephews of Mr. Gregory. In charge of religious rites were Rev. Roger Connelly of the Methodist Church, assisted by Rev. Jim Bundy of the Free Will Baptist Church. Oliver Lee Gregory was born August 17, 1898 at Saco, Mo., a son of John F. and Artimiss Gregory, both of who preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Nora Pippin on Oct. 26, 1920. She survives, as do three daughters, Leota, Mrs. Orion J. Reagan; Juanita, Mrs. Jewell A. Williams, both of Fredericktown and Nancy, Mrs. Joel T. Whitener of Omaha, Nebr. Also surviving are two brothers, Oscar and Troy of Fredericktown and a sister, Mrs. Edna Erwin, also of Fredericktown. Two brothers, Orville and Truman, preceded him in death. He leaves five grandchildren, Shelly and Nyla Reagan, Vicky and Ricky Williams and Sheree Whitener, many other relatives and friends.
