Ova Virginia Brown

Ova Virginia Brown, 95, of Fredericktown died October 19, 2003 at ClaRu DeVille Nursing 
Center in Fredericktown.

She was born June 28, 1908 in Jewett, Missouri, a daughter of Noah and Litha 
(Williams) Young.

On March 5, 1930 she was married to John Ellis Brown of Crump, Missouri.

Preceding Mrs. Brown in death were her parents; two daughters, Lois Peterman 
and Betty McCarver; two brothers, Bill Young and Andrew Young; six sisters, Bertha Young, Dorothy Young, 
Carrie Brown, Caroline Firebaugh, Ruth Wray and Ruby Jackson; grandsons Steve and Jim Peterman; 
one great granddaughter, Caitlin Whitener and one great grandson, Will Peterman.

Surviving Mrs. Brown are two sons; Jerry Cleveland Brown of Fredericktown 
and Donald Dean Brown of Arbie, Louisiana; 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 4 great great 
grandchildren.

Mrs. Brown was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed quilting and canning.

Services were held October 21, 2003 at Follis and Sons Funeral Home with 
Jim Frago and Clyde Bess officiating. Burial was at Marcus Memorial Cemetery.
