Barger, Francis (Sonny) Everett - 1970
Mrs. Francis (Sonny) Everett Barger, son of Mrs. Nettie Underwood, 
and the late Everett Barger, died in an auto accident on I-55 in St. Louis 
County on Nov. 14.

He was born in St. Louis on May 20, 1936 and died at the age of 34 
years, five months and 25 days.

Mr. Barger is survived by his mother, Mrs. Nettie Underwood; step father, 
Dewey Underwood, Shirley, Mo.; two sons, Rickey of House Springs; 
Richard, Hillsboro; two daughter, Janet and Natalia, Hillsboro.

Other survivors were aunts, Mrs. Carrie Arbuthnot, Mrs. Frankie Thigpen 
and Mrs. Hazel Walker, all of Fredericktown and an uncle, Maurice Collier of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Funeral services for Mr. Barger were held Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 11 a.m. at 
the Gum & Son Funeral Home in Potosi.  The Rev, Paul Murell officiated, 
with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery in Fredericktown.

Mr. Barger was killed when he left his auto on I-55 in St. Louis County and 
tried to cross the highway.  He was struck by an oncoming auto.
