Armstrong, Frank J. - 1972
Frank J. Armstrong, 61, of Sikeston, a restaurant owner and husband of 
the former Mrs. Maxine Whiteaker of Fredericktown, died early Tuesday 
morning of last week at his home of an apparent heart attack.

He has been a resident of Sikeston since 1946 when he bought the Rustic
 Rock Restaurant.  He later acquired the War Drum Café.  He operated a 
catering service and at one time was manager of the Sikeston Country Club.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine; two stepsons, Bruce and David Whiteaker 
of Memphis, Tenn.; a step-daughter Mrs. Paula Neidling, St. Louis, a brother. 
Two sisters and two grandchildren.

Following cremation, a memorial service was held at the Nunnelee Funeral 
Home on Thursday of last week.
